Garage door repair, done today

A garage door is the biggest moving thing in a house, and when it fails it fails suddenly. Garage Door Repair Jackson covers Jackson and Madison County for exactly that moment - the spring that let go overnight, the cable that jumped its drum, the opener that decided this morning was the end. We keep the common parts on the truck so most repairs are one visit.
We opened in 2016 because garage door work in West Tennessee was slow to show up and vague about price. Dale built Garage Door Repair Jackson around the opposite habits - a real answer on the phone, an arrival window that means something, and a number before the wrench comes out.

Broken torsion or extension spring? That is the one that traps your car.
Motor humming, remote dead, or the door reversing halfway down.
A new insulated door, measured, ordered and hung properly.
We cover Jackson first and work outward through Madison County and the towns along the I-40 and US-45 corridor. If you are within about thirty miles and the door will not close, call - we would rather tell you honestly that we cannot make it today than leave you guessing.
Regular runs include Humboldt, Milan, Medina, Three Way, Bells, Alamo, Trenton, Lexington, Henderson, Bolivar, Whiteville, Beech Bluff and the rest of Madison County.

Calls ring to someone who can book you, not a queue. If we cannot get to you today we say so on that call.
You get a number before any work begins. If a part has to be ordered you hear the cost and timing first.
Torsion springs, cables, rollers, hinges and the usual opener parts are on the van, so most repairs finish in one visit.
Jackson and the small towns around it. The outlying calls are not an afterthought - they are most of the work.
Four failures account for most of what we see in Jackson. A torsion spring snaps, and the door becomes too heavy for the opener or for you. A lift cable frays and jumps its drum, so one side rises and the other does not. Rollers seize and the door binds in the track, usually after a cold snap. Or the opener loses its drive gear and hums without lifting. None of those are DIY jobs once the door is loaded, and three of the four are same-day repairs when the parts are on the truck.
Same day in Jackson most days, and either that afternoon or first thing next morning for the Madison County towns. Say on the call if a car is shut in - that moves the job up the list.
Because the spring that was doing the lifting has failed. A double door weighs a couple of hundred pounds; the springs counterbalance it so the opener only has to guide it. Without them you are lifting the whole thing.
Ten minutes a year: grease the hinges and rollers, wipe the tracks, tighten the track bolts, and test the safety reverse with a block of wood. That is most of it.
Two things are worth doing yourself between visits. Once a quarter, pull the release cord with the door down and lift it by hand: it should move smoothly and hold roughly at waist height. If it slams down or shoots up, the springs are out of balance and the opener is carrying weight it was never designed to carry. And keep the photo-eye sensors clean and pointed at each other - a knocked sensor is the single most common cause of a door that reverses for no obvious reason.

Tell us what it is doing and whether a car is shut in. Most spring and cable jobs are finished the same day.
